Welcome to Helston Railway, a volunteer-led standard gauge heritage railway in Cornwall. Journey through beautiful Cornish countryside along our historic branch line from Prospidnick to Truthall Halt, and help us preserve this unique piece of railway heritage.

You can buy tickets on the day but purchase in advance to ensure you get your seat.

Park for free at Prospidnick Station and travel to Truthall Halt.

Dogs are welcome on all parts of our site, including riding on the train.

Return the Lowertown Viaduct to Running Order

We have been given the opportunity to acquire and refurbish the lovely viaduct and once again run trains back over it.

The Railway

Cleared and relaid by volunteers, this rural Cornish route offers scenic views as you travel between Prospidnick and Truthall Halt.
